Download a Course Guide

This course is suitable for people who are interested in starting in the childcare industry or for those who need to expand on their skills and knowledge. Students are taught about working in the early childhood education and care environment of a long day care centre. It is designed for those who would eventually like to work in a long day care, family day care centre or to become a nanny. Students will learn how to work with young children, how to encourage developmental growth in the child, to implement activities and to respond to a child’s care requirements.

Students must have some idea about working with young children and the components of the job, however they do not require previous experience in a long day care centre.
